The Gallery
The first few months of this year have flown by and we have managed to get a few new pieces made for our gallery. Bit by bit this fantastic space is coming together, showcasing some fine work offered by Piece Furniture and the occasional student piece too!
Marrickville home
We've now been in our home in Marrickville for about 18 months. The workshop is constantly evolving with benches in the class area being added this year along with ample storage for student projects and materials. We've also added a locker area for there personal belongings. A few new tools and machines have been purchased. Helping everyone to move forward smoothly at there own pace. Meanwhile the gallery is looking good, getting stocked up bit by bit.
Exhibitions
The plan for 2013 is to be able to hold an exhibition in the the Piece gallery later on this year. If we are able to find the time amongst the commission work and Johns teaching commitments it is intended to happen around September/ October. Work has begun on the designing and making of the first pieces.
